Located in Portland, Maine, Rêve is a locally owned and woman-run boutique cycling studio dedicated to the well-being of each person who walks through the door. Rêve’s motivating team of instructors combine music and movement to create the ultimate indoor cycling experience that is like no other.
Eight years ago, Rêve turned to Chalmers to help them think through a comprehensive insurance strategy that would help keep both their clients and employees safe if something unexpected were to happen.
There are unique risks to running a cycling studio: an employee slips and falls, a bike malfunctions, or a client gets injured on a ride. These claims can be costly, especially those leading to injury or damages, and could potentially sink even the most financially stable fitness business. Even the most careful and conscientious fitness business owners face considerable exposures and risks that they need to address before they can focus on their clients.
Insurance is complicated. It is rewarding to work with clients, like Rêve, who are receptive to learning about why certain coverages or coverage limits might be right or wrong for them. We truly believe those who are more educated about their coverage will feel more confident and able to protect themselves from certain claims.
We look forward to putting the spotlight on more commercial clients in the future. If you’re an existing Chalmers Insurance Group client and would like to be featured in an upcoming Client Story, we would love to hear from you!
