We are thrilled to announce that we have been named in the annual 'Best Places to Work in Insurance' for 2023. This award recognizes employers for their outstanding performance in establishing workplaces where employees can thrive, enjoy their work, and help their companies grow. We also had the honor of receiving this award back in 2021.
We were chosen based on our strong company culture, high employee engagement scores, and team of highly motivated co-workers. We offer programs (both onsite and virtual) that address wellness, coaching leadership training, and work/life balance. Community service is also integral to our culture; we actively engage in and promote community service activities throughout Maine and New Hampshire.
“We pride ourselves on our employee-centric culture based on teamwork, collaboration, communication, and recognition. We take care of our co-workers above all else, and refer to our co-workers as family members,” says Dottie Chalmers Cutter, 4th Generation Owner and Vice President of Operations.
For over 165 years, we have offered an individualized approach to insurance. We take the time to get to know our clients and walk them through the process of buying insurance, step by step. We uphold a culture of doing the right thing, treating people the right way, and living out our values. When clients join us, they're a part of the family!
Best Places to Work in Insurance is an annual sponsored content feature presented by the Custom Publishing unit of Business Insurance and Best Companies Group. This list highlights the agents, brokers, insurance companies and other providers with the highest levels of employee engagement and satisfaction. Harrisburg, Pa.-based Best Companies Group identifies the leading employers in the insurance industry by conducting a free two-part assessment of each company. The first part is a questionnaire completed by the employer about company policies, practices and demographics. The second part is a confidential employee survey on engagement and satisfaction.
The program divides employers into the categories of small, 25-249 employees; medium, 250-999 employees; and large, 1,000 or more employees. This year’s report features 100 companies of various sizes, from 25 employees to more than 4,000.
The ranking and profiles of the winning companies will be unveiled as a sponsored content supplement in the November issue of Business Insurance and online at BusinessInsurance.com.
