Personal Watercraft
Boats/Yachts

Owning a boat or other leisure watercraft is like owning a car with similar insurance needs.

We can design your policy with exactly the protection you need, at the affordable rates you demand. To determine your coverage, we will ask you about a number of key factors:

What is the current value of your boat?
You should have the value assessed by a marina every few years.

Do you ever use it outside the limits of the specified Navigation Area?
If the boat is taken out of the specified area named in the policy, there is no coverage.

Do you ever use it for towing sports other than water skiing?
If so, some companies exclude coverage for tubing, knee boarding, etc.

Will you ever use the boat outside the policy Lay-up Period?
If the boat is in the water longer than the time designated on the policy, or if you put the boat in the water sooner than the time designated on the policy, there may be no coverage.

Modifications?
If your boat has been modified in any way, there may be no coverage.

Do you have a trailer?
If you want your boat trailer insured for Physical Damage, it must be listed separately on the policy, for the current value.

What if you are injured by an uninsured boater?
We can append your policy with an Uninsured Boater Endorsement that would provide this coverage.
